BALOO Training

    Topsanah District will be having their BALOO training on Saturday, February 5th at Hills and Hollows. So if the previous weekend is not convenient, we welcome anyone to join us. Go to the Topsanah district website www.topsanah.com and register (select Training Registration at left margin of home page) even if you might be iffy. The registration numbers are used so that we have enough lunch for those attending. Topsanah district provides a CD with the paper supporting information for BALOO.
    The BALOO training registration starts anytime after 8 am and sessions start at 9 am and we usually finish up by no later than 5 p.m.. We provide lunch. Cost is $15. Shelter is provided and wood will be brought in to keep us toasty warm if needed.

Pack 4600 Announcements

Announcements:

·         BALOO Training - Saturday 2/5/11 at Hills & Hollows.  We need adults that are BALOO trained in order for our Pack to go camping.  You can register for this event at www.topsanah.com . The cost is $15 and lunch will be provided.

·         Scouting For Food – We will be participating in Scouting for Food this year.  Beginning this month we are asking all scouts to bring canned food to their den meetings.  We will collect food until Tuesday, February 15th.  After the collection period has ended we will deliver the collected food to a local food bank.  All scouts participating in this program will receive a Scouting for Food Patch.

·         Pinewood Derby – Our Pack Pinewood Derby is going to be held on Thursday, February 17th at 6:00 pm.  The track will be set up in Lowery Hall.  Please make sure that you are on time so that we can get your car registered to race.  Awards will be given out after the races are completed.  There will be an adult division this year for all adults wanting to participate.

·         Dallas Stars Scout Day – Saturday, February 26th at 1:00 pm.  Cost for this event is $15 per person.  The deadline to sign up and pay for this event is the January Pack meeting. Flyers and event details will be available at the Pack meeting.

·         Dallas Mavericks Sleepover – Friday, March 4th.  Cost for this event is $55 per person.  The deadline to sign up and pay for this event is the January Pack meeting.  If you have any questions about this event please email Todd Cook at toddandtracicook@verizon.net  Flyers and event details will be available at the Pack meeting.

·         Rocket Academy – Saturday, March 19th.  Cost for this event is $27 per person.  The deadline to sign up and pay for this event is Tuesday, March 15th.   Flyers and event details will be available at the Pack meeting.

·         Blue & Gold – Our awards banquet will be held on Thursday, March 31st.  More details will follow at a later date.  We need volunteers to help make this a great event for our scouts.  Please contact Dallas Eshelman if you can help with this event.  There will be a slide show, so if you have taken pictures this year that you can share we would love to have them.  Please let Todd Cook know.
